Semi-outdoor Dining Area with Barbeque and Planted Roof, Panorama of Thessaloniki

Since the beginning of last summer, we have been working in Thessaloniki with the aim of creating an outdoor covered gathering space, for the needs of a detached house. The spaces requested included an outdoor living room, a barbeque area and a small kitchen. All of the above were covered by a planted roof, which will offer better thermal comfort conditions underneath. The whole construction was made with cob. The organic language of the cob was married to the strict straight lines of the existing building. The final coating was made with natural lime plasters and the kitchen counter with pressed lime plasters.
